Päivi works as a Senior Visitor Consultant for Salpakierto.
Salpakierto Ltd is a limited liability company owned by 9 municipalities, tasked with performing municipal waste management services in the region of the shareholder municipalities. These tasks include the reception, transportation, processing and recycling of waste, the development of waste management and the provision of information related to it. ProPuu
Pro Puu Association was founded in 1997, in Lahti Finland. It is a modern guild of wood professionals. The members of Pro Puu, with three honorary members, are cabinetmakers, designers and architects. Craftsmen and designers interested in the goals and objectives of the association may apply for membership. Sibelius Hall
Sibelius Hall is located by the beautiful Lake Vesijärvi. Sibelius Hall is a congress- and concert center that offers diverse services for both consumers and companies. Sibelius Hall was built in 2000 adjacent to an old factory building. EU-funded CE4RT project 2023-2024
okimaan Paroni was accepted to be part of the European Union-funded CE4RT project. CE4RT stands for Circular Economy for Regenerative Tourism – going beyond sustainability.
- The objective of the EU-funded CE4RT project is to DIRECTLY SUPPORT tourism SMEs transitioning to a CIRCULAR and REGENERATIVE tourism business model thus ensuring the future resilience of the sector.
- Collaborative across 5 countries funded through EISMEA (European Innovation and SME’s Executive Agency) Single Market Programme COSME-2021-TOURSME
- The program provides possibilities to training, one-to-one coaching, certification, and networking.

Results:
- Based on one2one coaching, the company achieved Good Travel Seal, an environmental certificate.
- Visit Finland granted Jokimaan Paroni the Sustainable Travel Finland label as a recognition of valuable and long-term work for sustainable tourism.
- The company has applied the training to all its tours and created new ideas for future sustainable tours.
European Commision co-funded EENergy-project 2024-2026
Jokimaan Paroni is selected to be part of the EENergy-project. This project is co-funded by the European Commission under the Single Market Programme (SMP), with the aim to support SMEs to define an action plan to improve their energy efficiency performance and to carry out this action plan.

Results:
The energy consumption of the office has already dropped dramatically because of the renovation. The final results will be published in the end of the project.
